Monica

This is Monica.

I finished this project 3 years ago, in 2012, a year after graduating from school. Concept, shaders, model, lighting, texturing. I did everything from scratch.

Monica was leaps and bounds beyond any work I had done up to that point. The project represents a very difficult time in my life, when I was living at my parents house after college. It pushed me far beyond my artistic and personal limits, and because of the circumstances I couldn't give up.

I can see some of its shortcomings now, and I'm sure through the years I'll see more, but this work will always be sacrosanct to me.

This project left me so much stronger than it found me, I hope I go through something like this again soon.
